A dark poem.
An obscure lump slid its way across the floor.
A trail of black ooze left a trail of sludge.
I am not afraid.
In fact, I embrace it.
It wriggles in my hands,
A moist texture with chunky bits.
Chunky bits like the inside of pickled okra.
I am not disgusted.
In fact, I accept it.
A small bone tong reaches upward,
Dripping obsidian-like wetness on my chest.
The aggressive talon pierced me.
I am not in pain.
In fact, I liked it.
The talon pierced me deeper,
The slinky worm-like appendage slid inside.
It crawled toward my heart but didn’t stop.
I was not confused.
In fact, I asked for this.
Up my spine, twist, twist, turn,
Heading to my head, my brain.
The beast that is my body that needed to be tamed.
I was terrified.
In fact, I changed my mind.
To be inhabited by this creature,
For it to banish my thoughts and emotions.
It wrapped like a snake around my brain stem.
I was getting evicted.
In fact, I was floating into the abyss.
The creature took me,
I descended without expectation of return.
It swallowed me whole into the void.
I was not in control.
In fact, I was just an observer now.
This was my evolution into true madness.
